Stronger Together · Twice the Impact

Wow! Has it really been two years since our last blog post? It makes sense. We last posted about our Pink Fireman's trip out to Seattle in March 2020 - quite literally days before the USA exploded with the COVID pandemic and we started to shut everything down. Everything since then - seems like a blur!

Well, I can't think of a better, more uplifting post to make as our first blog post since COVID started! 

Picture it. Sicily. 1946....errrrr wait. That's the Golden Girls. Wrong channel....

Picture it. Olney. 2017. We're hosting our annual Baking for Boobies Bake Sale outside the Giant grocery store. A man approaches the table, asks a few questions, and then extends his hand out. "Hi. I'm Vince Proffitt and I'm your new corporate sponsor".

We met Vince Proffitt, CEO of Spartan Medical, five years ago shortly after he lost a valued colleague and friend to Metastatic Breast Cancer. Looking for a grass-roots, community breast cancer organization to throw his support behind, Spartan Medical became a corporate sponsor and a part of the For 3 Sisters family; becoming a trusted partner in the effort to ensure no one fights breast cancer alone. 

Sadly, a year later, Vince's brother and Spartan Medical's Vice President and General Counsel, Gregory Proffitt, passed away suddenly at the age of 45. (Left: Greg Proffitt · Right: Vince Proffitt)

Soon after, Vince created the Proffitt Brothers Foundation in honor and memory of his brother Greg.  Their goal is to help fund the hardworking charities that get the proceeds directly to real people, locally, on the front-line. Their mission is to find people that have demonstrated the propensity to do good, and to incentivize that incredible behavior with funding, to make the biggest possible impact in the most expedient and efficient manner possible.e. ​

We're honored that the Proffitt Brothers Foundation continues to support For 3 Sisters through their generous philanthropic efforts. Not only are they our Diamond level sponsor for our 2nd Annual Pink Ribbon Romp 5K, but we are their charity partner for the giving match campaign for the month of October!
