FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What on earth is a "hon"?
Originally the term Hon originated in Baltimore, MD to describe the fashion and style of the working class woman in the 50s, 60s, and 70s. It typically included big hair and cat glasses, and often included some sort of animal print. At 100 Hons and Elvis, being a HON is all about attitude!
What Do I wear?
Remember, HON is all about attitude and it can look anyway you want it to look! Here are just a few of the many types of Hon outfits seen at our events:
- Bawl'more Hons: animal prints, feather boas, cat glasses, big or poofy hair
- Housecoat Hons: pajamas, bathrobes, slippers, curlers in their hair
- Disco Hons: disco clothes, feather boas, big hair, cat glasses, platform shoes
- All HON on the inside: everyday clothes, regular hair, but a ton of HON FUN ATTITUDE on the inside!
